Who Are We?

Helping to build a greener future for Natural History Filmmaking
We are a Bristol-born grassroots community of UK and international wildlife filmmakers with three main aims:
1 – To encourage collaboration on ways of reducing the environmental impact of wildlife filmmaking
2 – To encourage content that raises awareness of the climate and biodiversity crisis, and which inspires real change
3 - To encourage moving away from the traditional extractive filmmaking model - how can we give back to the places and people we film?

Beyond the Frame - Short Films
On 6th November 2021, FF:W held an event at COP26 which featured both a discussion panel hosted by Steve Backshall, as well as the premiere of 5 short films. These films are now available to watch on demand here, you can learn about the films, and click through to watch each of them.
OUT NOW
Join us now and become part of the discussion, building a greener future for natural history filmmaking
FF:W is only possible through the discussion and cooperation of people from every aspect of wildlife filmmaking.
We all have something to bring to the table and there are ways we can all improve our workflows and practices.
